What Is Happening?
The ODOT All Roads Transportation Safety (ARTS) Program’s purpose is to achieve a significant reduction in fatalities and serious injuries through a data-driven strategic approach to improving safety on all public roads, with a focus on implementation of cost-effective and proven measures.
The ARTS Program is a statewide application based competitive process. Projects
are ranked or prioritized based on an ODOT-approved prioritization method such as Benefit-Cost Ratio. Through the ARTS program, projects on all public roads in Oregon, regardless
of roadway ownership, compete for Highway Safety Improvement Program funding.
